I love good writing and beautiful design; I love the energy of people working together toward a positive goal; I love sailboats. There are lots of other things I love, but those seem the most pertinent at the moment. Except for the boats. I've been an entrepreneur since 1991 and a community volunteer for longer than that. I've studied -- and taught -- communication, branding, and networking.

I've been honored with a number of awards for marketing and design. And to this day, one of my greatest joys is that I get to work with people who are passionate about what they're doing. Being in business for myself has provided me with so many opportunities. I've had wonderful mentors, and I've served in that capacity for others. I have a sort of "feed me, I'm yours" policy.

Buy me lunch and I'll let you pick my brain about pretty much anything! Truth is, I've had a lot of adventures. I've skydived. I've survived heart surgery by a robot. I race sailboats on Lake Michigan and the coast of California and I've sailed from Cyprus to Tel Aviv.
