Online Marketing and Consulting was created in early 2012 after I left a high growth, for-profit education institution that was acquired by a larger corporation.
My colleague (and eventual business partner) and I were ready to strike out and start something great based on a problem we had identified and an opportunity we saw in the higher education, and the larger online assessment and professional certification space.
We founded Online Marketing and Consulting as a DBA to provide training and consulting services while we got the other idea off the ground (ProctorFree), and I still find myself talking to all sorts of amazing business owners (some of which we have helped), along the way.

After reading another book by the same authors on a similar topic (The First Conspiracy) I decided to wade into The Lincoln Conspiracy.
It was illustrative and covered a painful and uncertain time in the history of the United States during the mid-1800's.
I have long been fond of Jim "Mad Dog" Mattis and his straightforward style of communicating.
This was solidified years ago after I had the opportunity to spend a couple of hours in a semi-private setting with him during a fireside chat he participated in with a group of Veterans attending an executive education program that I was part of.
