Creativity is a large part of my life - graphic design and marketing are my profession. But as the years have gone by, Photography has become my passion and something I cannot live without. Having the ability to share with everyone the beauty that I see in ordinary, everyday things is amazing. I revel in the possibility of opening someone's eyes to something as simple as a bee on a flower, a bird perched on a branch or the sunlight hitting a leaf just perfectly.

Beauty is all around you, but if you're not looking you can miss it. My goal is to ensure that you don't miss it, and to open your eyes to the world around you.

Bald Eagles are our nation's symbol of freedom.
They are majestic and simply fantastic to see in the wild.
Over the years I have learned to anticipate some of their behaviors, which has led to some amazing shots.
From watching them simply sitting on a branch to feeding their young in the nest to fishing the lakes and rivers.there is nothing quite like it.
I am lucky enough to live in an area where hawks are abundant.
These magnificent birds of prey have more than adapted to city and suburban life, and seem to flourish anywhere they choose to make their home.
The Red-Tailed Hawk is by far my favorite to see in the wild, and I have even been fortunate enough to witness them hunting and catching everything from other birds, rabbits and snakes.
All you have to do is look up in the tree tops and it is likely you will soon see one for yourself.
Ospreys have become very common and widespread after the DDT and pesticide bans in 1972.
You can find them along the coast, marshes, lakes and rivers almost worldwide.
They are magnificent to watch hovering over the water before plunging talons first into the water to catch a fish.
They will occasionally stray from a diet of fish and eat snakes, small birds and small mammals.
They build huge nests of sticks and branches, oftentimes on a nesting box build by people.
They can live 15-20 years.
Owls are elusive.
They can be very easy to hear during the dawn and dusk hours, but they are practically impossible to spot in the trees.
I set a goal to capture a photo of an owl in the wild in 2017, which I was not able to complete.
It is a very powerful experience to have an owl look you straight in the eye, and I cannot wait to find more of these beauties in nature, even if just to "pet the whale" as they say.
The Green Heron is a small heron in North and Central America.
These secretive herons are actually quite abundant, but because they are rather shy you may never even notice one sitting just a few feet away.
They can take flight quickly if they feel you are too close, or will silently move further into the brush to hide from view.
The most surprising feature of this small heron is how long their necks are.
You will typically see one perched motionless and it appears to look quite normal.
But when they are fishing, they can extend their neck the full length of their body or more.
