In early 2006, Barry Thigpen joined Denny Weddle & Associates as Partner and Chief Operating Officer for Denny Weddle & Associates. He oversaw the day-to-day operation of the agency, business development and management of planning and execution for clients. Over the course of his career, Barry has gained experience and provided leadership with the leaders in the entertainment, tourism and theme park industries including Disney, Anheuser-Busch, Universal, Six Flags and Paramount Parks.
With this solid, well-rounded background, most recently Barry acted as a marketing and management consultant and Chief Marketing Officer for several organizations. He has provided marketing, strategic planning and development guidance to See Rock City, Inc., an attraction group on Lookout Mountain near Chattanooga, Tennessee. Prior to this assignment, Barry played a similar role for Pearl River Resort, a development of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians near Meridian, Mississippi.
The resort is the largest gaming operation in the southeast U.S.
